Sentient has welcomed student Mike Busby onboard to do 3D technology work aligned to his studies at Curtin University.

Mike will be working part-time at Sentient while studying his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
“I decided to study this course as computers are of great interest to me and when the opportunity came up to work at Sentient in an area related to my field of study I was excited to learn more about the technology they use and how the company is progressing,” he said.
Mike said he is settling in well with the Sentient team and already learning a lot from them.
“It’s going great. The people I work with are enthusiastic and eager to help me learn about what it is they do and how I can contribute to the company. Naturally I find MVX interesting but it really is astounding how it interprets data coming in from all sorts of areas and portrays it just like a process control system would – only better.”
Mike said he plans to learn as much as he can from his experience at Sentient so he can use the knowledge in future work.
“Technology, whether hardware or software is continually progressing and Doug and his team have the great opportunity of being able to be a part of this. Everything I learn here, whether it’s a certain programming language or how to use the Unity 3D engine which their software is based on, will be beneficial and I’m excited about the prospects the future holds.” |
