Paul has previously lent his technical expertise to companies including Interzone Games, Spinfast, Subversive Games, and Different Methods among others. He has successfully developed and released an iPad application and had a hand in creating an educational iPad app for kids. His prior roles span across all aspects of software development - from Tools Development Manager to Lead Programmer, .NET developer, Project Manager, and more. His technical knowledge and skill make Paul an invaluable addition to the Sentient team.

Sneak peek of MVX

Sentient and Torq gave the industry a sneak preview of the innovative MVX software at a breakfast gathering in Perth on 15th July.

More than 40 people from a wide range of businesses came to hear Doug Bester and Apolon Ivankovic speak about the potential of the 3D visualisation product as well as the clever architecture behind it.

Attendees went away with an expanded point of view on 3D and how it can be used in an industrial setting and better informed about the ease of implementation and low cost.

MVX is an industrial automation visualisation software package that applies 3D game engine technology to real time data sources such as process control and SCADA systems.

This extra dimension allows clients to visualise data in actual time; give them better control of plants and equipment; and provide a safe and realistic training environment.

The technology is unique and complementary to the traditional control and maintenance systems. It has potential to revolutionise the way people access and interact with data in a wide range of applications.

You can download an expanded copy of Apolon’s talk with audio here (52mb, 27 minutes) or view a pdf copy of Doug’s talk here. Alternatively you can view MVX in action by going to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3feBoQPurA.
